Songwriting Camp

This week the SPEZIAL team have been in Brighton at WaterBear the College Music, after being invited to a host a songwriting camp for a group of BA students studying songwriting and performance.

Working in small groups, the students were tasked with the brief of creating and recording a song together within that session, to be played back to the whole class at the end of the day for group critique. Shahab and Caroline spent time with the students, observing their songwriting process and giving feedback on developing their songs and music to the next level. From hip-hop to pop and folk the students produced a diverse range of ideas and it was great to spend time with such an enthusiastic group of musicians and producers.
